Whilst we only provide links to EXPLORE mental health training, we may expand this later to our full 15 wellbeing topics as partners come on board. See below for a list of courses you can access, mainly online, ranging from short courses to longer, more in depth training.

Tees Mental Health Training Hub

Commissioned by Public Health across Tees to provide a free training offer to localworkforce. Courses include Mental Health First Aid, A Life worth Living, Youth Mental Health First Aid, ASiST, SafeTALK etc.

Suicide Awareness E-Learning Training

The Zero Suicide Alliance offer a variety of training courses for suicide awarness.

The courses will teach you the skills and confidence to have a potentially life-saving conversation with someone you’re worried about. b. Gain skills and confidence to help someone who may be considering suicide.

North East & North Cumbria Integrated Care System

Comprehensive training programme to equip our workforce with relevant skills across the prevention workstream.

COVID-19: Psychological First Aid

Get psychological first aid (PFA) training and help people with different needs to cope with the emotional impact of COVID-19.

This course is aimed at frontline or essential workers and volunteers dealing with the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. You do not have to be a specialist to deliver PFA.

Psychological First Aid: Supporting Children and Young People

Get Psychological First Aid training to support children and young people’s mental health during emergencies and crisis situations

This course is aimed at frontline or essential workers and volunteers who come into contact with children and young people aged 0-25 years during emergency and crisis situations.

E-learning for Healthcare - Online Loneliness Training

There is now substantial evidence that having a lack of social connections significantly increases the risk of premature mortality. The course highlights impact of chronic loneliness as a serious health concern, and how we can all help to tackle loneliness with the interaction we have with others.

The course highlights how health and social care staff and the wider public health workforce can recognise risk factors, risk groups and apply simple interventions that will that can make a positive impact. 

Internet safety; Suicide and self-harm

E-learning module developed by Samaritans’ Online Harms team. This course is relevant to anyone who provides support around suicide, self-harm, and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
